JAKARTA - The thought of being able to edit posts on Twitter is indeed very fun. Luckily, Twitter already has the feature planned for its platform.

Recently, app researcher Jane Manchun Wong shared an image that proves that Twitter's tweet editing feature isn't a nonsense.

From the pictures shared by Jane, there are two tweets that she made. The first tweet reads "goo morning". Later, Jane edited the tweet to "good morning".

According to the image, it seems that the edit feature on Twitter works differently from Facebook. If you're on Facebook, you'll only see one post after it's been edited.

Instead of seeing one post that has been edited, you will see two posts which show the tweet before and after you edited it.

"When a site embeds a Tweet and is edited, the embed doesn't just show a new version (replacing the old one). Instead, it shows an indicator there is a new version," Jane said in her explanation.

So, in the tweet before editing there will be the words "there's a new version of this tweet" at the bottom of the time and date of posting the tweet.

Given that Twitter has not officially launched the feature, its implementation and appearance may change. This edit feature was first announced in April.

At the time, the company said it would be testing the feature with Twitter Blue subscribers in the coming weeks.

Not only Twitter, Apple also launched a message editing feature in iMessage for iOS 16 users. Currently, this feature can be enjoyed by iOS 16 beta testers.
