Investigating The BI-OJK CSR Fund Corruption Case Using General Sprindik, KPK Confirms No Suspect

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirms that there are no suspects in the alleged corruption of the Bank Indonesia (BI) social responsibility corporate social responsibility (CSR) to the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The investigation is running using a general investigation warrant (sprindik).

"There are no suspects in the investigation warrant," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, December 19.

The use of generalized sprindik in this case is called Tessa as a form of strategy. He said this option is also in the law and has only been used recently.

"So far, the KPK has not used this option, currently there are several cases that according to investigators, investigators, and from the results of discussions with the leadership, public sprindik can be used," explained the spokesman with the investigator's background.

"With strategic reasons and handling the case (which, ed) requires speciality, in my opinion," continued Tessa.

This general Sprindik gave the KPK the authority to search the Bank Indonesia (BI) office on Monday, December 16 yesterday. "So don't back down," he said.

"But we use different options and strategies as well as cases where there is already a suspect's name," said Tessa.

Previously reported, the KPK some time ago conducted an investigation regarding the alleged corruption of CSR funds at Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) which allegedly occurred in 2023. It is suspected that the money was channeled inappropriately.

Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Rudi Setiawan, said that there were allegations that the money that should be enjoyed by the community actually flowed to the foundation. As a result, the state loses because the budget spent is quite large.

"So BI has CSR funds and then a few percent of it is given to those who are not proper, more or less," Rudi told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 17.

"(It flows to, red) the foundations that we suspect are not appropriate to be given," he continued.
