JAKARTA - Currently, Apple has two ad slots on its App Store platform. These two ads are spread across the main 'Search' tab and one is also in Search results.

But, it looks like Apple will expand its advertising business by adding two new ad slots in the App Store.

According to a report from 9to5Mac, Apple will be placing one new ad in the "Today" tab of the App Store. Of course, this ad placement will provide more benefits for Apple as well as developers, because users will see it immediately when they first open the application.

Then, a second new ad slot placement will appear on the product page itself. This means that developers will be able to place their ads on product pages for other apps.

Later, this ad is located at the very bottom of the product page, and at the bottom of the ad banner, will show other apps by the same developer.

In a statement, Apple explained that these new ad placements provide developers with an additional way to target and reach new customers.

This was approved by one of the developers. The CEO of the AllTrails app, Ron Schneidermann, said that Apple's Search ads could help them attract new, more engaged customers across markets.

A trial of adding two new ads to the App Store will roll out soon, but there's no word yet on when exactly they will appear.
