Toyota Stop Operation Six Factories In Japan, This Is The Cause

JAKARTA - Bad news came from a large manufacturer, namely Toyota, which has stopped its operations at six factories in Japan. This follows an explosion that occurred at the factory that supplies one of its components, namely the suspension section. The incident occurred at the Chou Spring factory, on Monday, October 16. Quoted from the Japan Times website, Wednesday, October 18, in that incident one employee was hospitalized and the other was only lightly injured. The termination of domestic production this time became the second largest since last August. Previously, Toyota was forced to close 14 factories due to errors in the manufacturing system. However, the Japanese name declined to reveal the impact.

According to a Toyota report, 10 production lines at six facilities in Japan have been suspended, including the Toyota Auto Body plant in Yoshiwara and Inabe as well as several production lines have been closed since Monday evening, while the Takaoka and Tsutsumi factories were suspended on Tuesday morning, October 17. In February 2022 Toyota had to close 14 of its domestic factories after one of its suppliers became the target of a ransomware attack. During the pandemic they also did the same thing. It took several days for the operation to resume and the incident to impact 5 percent of Toyota production that month.
