JAKARTA - The Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) released sales data during the October 2023 period. A number of manufacturers experienced a decline in sales figures during that period, but that did not apply to Honda.

During that period, this Japanese manufacturer achieved a wholesale sales figure of 11,938 units or 9.4 percent higher than September and an increase of 19.8 percent from the October 2023 achievement.

Yusak Billy, as Sales & Marketing and Aftersales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), said that the proceeds were supported by sales and the start of shipments of several new products, such as All New Honda CR-V, which had been launched since last August.

"The increase in wholesale Honda sales was mainly contributed by shipments that were started for new products such as All New Honda CR-V," Billy said when contacted by VOI, Friday, November 17.

Despite recording positive results, he said that his party will continue to strive to serve consumers by presenting some of the latest products and sales programs at the end of the year in order to maintain this position.

"In addition, we also continue to strive to maintain demand from consumers by doing various product refreshes, promotional activities and sales programs this year," said Billy.

Thus, it is confident that Honda's vehicle sales will increase in the next two months, given that the number of demand has soared at the end of the year.

"Usually the trend of orders or Vehicle Ordering Letters (SPK) increases at the end of this year," concluded Billy.

Meanwhile, the manufacturer with the 'H' logo also achieved good results over the past ten months in retail sales by winning 106,637 units or an increase of 7 percent compared to the previous year.

Of the total sales, Honda Brio and HR-V play a key role by accounting for 44 percent and 20 percent of total sales in the last ten months. Meanwhile, models such as WR-V also contributed 14 percent to date.
