JAKARTA - Astra Honda Motor Best Student has become a prestigious event for Multitalenta High School students in Indonesia, where students compete to create ideas and innovations for the benefit of society and the environment.

In the AHM Best Student 2023 edition, this competition divided participants into two categories, namely ideas and innovations, with the main theme Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) or sustainable development goals. The jury chose the two best works, namely solar-powered water purifiers and digital transaction security, which significantly provide direct benefits to society.

"These youth works are expected to be a significant alternative in facing various challenges and meeting the needs of the community," said Ahmad Muhibbuddin, General Manager of Corporate Communication AHM, in an official statement received by VOI, Thursday, November 2.

Furthermore, he hopes that AHM Best Student can trigger the emergence of creative ideas from the younger generation, as well as produce future leaders who are smart and sensitive to the latest issues.

After going through the selection process, AHM appointed Rafila Anindya Ahmad from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Jakarta as the champion of the idea category, with his innovation in the field of financial transaction security using a QR Code. Meanwhile, Raditya Syarifatur Riyad from SMA Laboratory UM, Malang, East Java, won the innovation category title with solar water clarity tools.

"Thank you for the appreciation given for the work I developed. AHMBS is the right event to show students' innovation works," said Raditya.

A total of 742 works from 390 schools in 27 provinces have participated in this competition. Selection is carried out in stages at the provincial level until 20 of the best students are selected who are entitled to take part in the Grand Final stage on October 31, 2023.
