The heat that hit Indonesia due to the dry season raises its own concerns for car owners, especially those who own hybrid vehicles or Electric Vehicles (EVs). In extreme heat conditions, the battery component and the electric system of this car require extra attention in order to maintain optimal performance.

According to Sapta Agung Nugraha, Head of Cilandak Auto2000 Workshop, temperatures that are too high can affect the life of using vehicle batteries. Direct sunlight can increase battery temperature, which ultimately affects vehicle efficiency.

"It is important to monitor battery temperature in hybrid cars or EVs. For too long, heat can shorten life using batteries," Sapta told VOI, Wednesday, October 11.

Not only that, Sapta also emphasized the need for attention to other electrical components, such as Head Units. Excessive sunlight can also damage this component and interfere with its function.

"When the weather is hot, it needs to be avoided so that the vehicle is not exposed to sunlight for too long. Extreme temperatures can damage the components of electricity, including the Head of the Display Unit," explained Sapta.

Sapta recommends conducting regular maintenance regularly to ensure the car remains in prime condition and operates safely. This includes replacing engine oil, checking, and replacing other important components.
