Chery Achieves Prestigious Awards Through Two Tiggo Series Models

Chery is a new player in the Indonesian automotive industry, but apart from vehicle manufacturers from China, this has achieved a number of prestigious achievements and awards.

Recently, Chery received recognition by winning J.D Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) awards for its models, such as the Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro.

Chery Tiggo 7 Pro managed to rank first in the medium-sized economic SUV category, while Tiggo 8 Pro also won first place in the medium-sized SUV category.

The assessment criteria for this award include the design, content, and consumer experience after owning the car for 90 days.

Shawn Xu, President of PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) and Vice President of Chery International, stated that winning awards for these two models underscores Chery's dedication to presenting superior products and consumer confidence in the quality of Chery vehicles.

"We are very proud of this recognition from consumers," Shawn said in a statement Monday, September 4.

Chery Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro received the highest score based on an evaluation of 35,155 traditional fuel vehicle owners who purchased new cars between June 2022 and March 2023.

The report includes 230 models of 48 different brands, with data collection being carried out in 81 major cities in China between December 2022 and May 2023.

This award also measures the satisfaction of fuel vehicle owners with vehicle attractions in various aspects of new cars.

These aspects include 37 elements in 10 vehicle performance categories, including displays, settings and startups, body interiors, vehicle performance, driving experience, security, entertainment systems in vehicles, driving comfort, and fuel efficiency.

Chery has managed to sell 3.4 million units of the Tiggo series globally, which confirms the popularity of the Tiggo series in various countries.

Since its launch five years ago, the Tiggo 8 Pro has dominated not only the Chinese market, but has also gained popularity in Europe, South America, and Africa. The Tiggo 8 Pro has become one of Chery's best-selling models worldwide.
