Chevrolet Delays Delivery Of I-Face Jaguar Competitors Until Spring 2024

JAKARTA - One of the electric SUVs from Chevrolet, namely the Blazer EV, has delayed shipments for the SS variant for the next half of the year, until spring of 2024.

Despite launching in July 2022, Chevrolet Blazer EV SS should be scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2023. Unfortunately, customers will need to be a little patient in waiting for the arrival of this SUV.

According to the GM Authority, which was reported on Tuesday, July 4, General Motors (GM) as Chevrolet's parent company did not provide any reasons for delaying the delivery of SS EV Blazars. This raises uncertainty about the cause.

However, for customers who have made purchases, there is no need to worry about costs. The SS EV blazer remains advertised at an unchanged price of US$65,995, or around Rp. 1 billion, including shipping costs.

On Chevrolet's official website, they also stated that another variant of the Blazer EV, namely 2LT and RS, is expected to arrive in the summer of 2023, a year after launch.

Back to the SS EV Blazer, the SUV is the top version of all variants of this model, with improved performance, design, and reliability that other versions don't have.

The SS EV blazer has a unique front goal display that is integrated with the headlights, as well as the bottom bumper that gives a sporty and aggressive impression. This appearance is even more interesting with the color of the two black tones on the roof and pillars of the A.

As a competitor to Jaguar I-Pace, this SUV is equipped with a powertrain feature for all-wheel drive electric motors (AWD) capable of producing up to 557 dk of power and 877 Nm of torque.

With an additional feature called Wide Open Watts (WOW), the SS EV Blazer was able to reach speeds of 0-100 km/h in about 4 seconds. To increase driving skills, the front brakes from Brembo are also provided.

Chevrolet Blazer EV is produced at a factory owned by GM located at Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. This means the Blazar EV will share production facilities with another SUV, namely the Equinox EV.
