Selena Gomez Donates Funds To Help Gaza

JAKARTA - Singer Selena Gomez donated funds for aid efforts in Gaza through her makeup company, Rare Beauty.

The brand announced the plan through an Instagram post on Monday, November 6, stating that it is against all forms of anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, and will donate funds to charities that will help victims of the Israeli/Gaza conflict.

Sharing a red and wine screen photo with the words Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza in the center, with the caption: We were devastated by photos and reports coming from the Middle East.

Dozens of innocent Palestinian civilians were killed in Israeli airstrikes and millions of civilians were forced to flee and have no access to food, water, medicine, or basic necessities to survive. Most of the victims were children. Palestinian civilians must be protected, period.

She continued, saying that those behind the brand were "still heartbroken" by Hamas attacks at the Nova Music Festival on October 7 which claimed the lives of at least 260 people and added that there is no situation where attacks on civilians are acceptable.

Then in the post, the brand added that it is against anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, and plans to donate to the International Red Cross/Magn Red Crescent Association Magen David Adom, & Palestinian Red Crescent Association providing urgent assistance on the pitch.

"We will also donate to UNICEF to help get urgent medical assistance and resources for Gaza's children," she added. We ask everyone to treat each other with kindness and affection during these times".
