Mick Mars' Reasons For Not Entering The Song He Recorded With John Corrabi To His Solo Album

JAKARTA - When appearing in the episode of SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" last week, Mick Mars revealed the reason for not including a song he recorded with former vocalist Motley Crue, John Corabi, on his debut solo album, The Other Side Of Mars.

"I feel the songs are just a little 'not strong enough. And there are certain people who interfere with it. And I wouldn't mention his name, but he seemed to mess up a few things," Mars said.

"The songs are wrong, the parts in them shouldn't exist and the bla-bla. The words aren't long, but he's like, 'It won't work.' So I kept it," continued the guitarist.

When asked by Eddie Trunk to clarify that it was the third party involved in the project, not the Corabi who "disrupted it", Mick said.

[I] was a bit deceived that's all I want to say by a third party. And that's all. That's all. I got rid of it and went on and looked for someone else. I mean, look, I found [producer] Michael Wageer after a while. He lives at the end of the road. "

In 2016, Mars released footage of two solo songs, apparently titled Gimme Blood and Shake The Cage.

The songs recorded at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, where Mars has lived for about a decade, feature Corabi, the vocalist who appeared on Motley Crue's self-titled 1994 album.

Corabi later said he had not contributed to the process of writing the two songs, but he was open to collaborating with Mars on some new material.
