The Reason For Nadin Amizah To Be Chosen Is The OST Series For A Kretek Girl

JAKARTA - Nadin Amizah was chosen by director Kamila Andini to present the original soundtrack (OST) for the series Gadis Kretek. He sang the song Kala Sang Surya Drown which was rearranged.

As is well known, when the Sunken was created by Guruh Soekarnoputra, and it was first released by Chrisye through the album Sabda Alam in 1978.

The choice of Nadin Amizah was not without reason, Kamila Andini claimed to be a fan of the 23-year-old singer, even for a long time.

"I've been a fan of Nadin for a long time, I admire his voice. Apart from being a singer, he is also a young creator who made me special," said Kamila Andini in Kemang, South Jakarta last week.

"So, it's been a long time since I've liked listening to Nadin's songs, I and my children like to sing Nadin's songs," he continued.

Furthermore, Kamila said that what she saw from Nadin was also similar to the series Gadis Kretek which tells about women's empowerment.

Kamila also specifically wants women to sing the soundtrack of the Kretek Girl series.

"So I want to have a female voice in the theme song. I want a strong one to represent this series," said Kamila.

Not only the song Kala Sang Surya Drowned, Kamila also asked one of Nadin Amizah's songs to become the OST for Kretek Girl.

There is also the song Nadin that we are wearing here. It seems that he is the right voice for what is being voiced byestery and women who play in this series," he said.

"I think all the female characters here have a strong representation and Nadin can represent it, I think," he added.

Meanwhile, Nadin Amizah admitted that he had many discussions with the director in performing the song Kala Sang Surya Drowning.

"I asked what was in Mbak Kamila's head, what kind of soundtrack I had to sing. It turned out that he wanted me to sing natural as I sang. The song was already beautiful from there, we didn't want to change anything from that," concluded Nadin Amizah.
