JAKARTA - The celebrity who played on Nirvana's In Utero album remembers being "insulted" by Courtney Love in a book.
Kera Schaley played the self in the song All Aplogies and B-side Marigold on the 1993 Seattle trio album, and rarely talked about his performances.
To celebrate the album's 30th anniversary, he appeared on the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast to discuss his experience in the studio, and his meeting with Love.
Reveals he hasn't spoken to any Nirvana members since he appeared on the album, this is Schaley.
"The only thing I've heard of, and it's embarrassing, but I was insulted by Courtney Love in the book Come As You Are," said Schaley.
In a book written by Michael Azzerad, In Utero producer Steve Albini, who was Schaley's girlfriend at the time, reportedly dubbed Love a psycho hose.
"The only way Steve Albini thinks I'm the perfect girlfriend, if I come from the East Coast, play cello, wear a small circle-shaped earrings, wear a black turtleneck, bring all the goods that match, and never say a word," he responded.

"He (Hole) didn't mention my name, but he made all these references, and all my friends told me about this, look what he said about me. And I think it's quite interesting for those called feminist.
"So I sent him a joke letter, teased him about it, and he called me in the middle of the night one time, and honestly I was half asleep, but the way he apologized was to say, 'I'm sorry because you thought I was talking about you.'
Meanwhile, next month, Nirvana will re-release In Utero at the age of three decades. The band's last studio album was released on September 23, 1993 and features the single hit All Aplogies, which is famous for being featured in their UPplugged MTV appearances in the same year, and Heart Shaped Boxes.
