This Is The Beatles Album That George Harrison Dislikes

JAKARTA - Towards the end of the 1960s, The Beatles have disbanded. Although they made the most adventurous music ever on albums like Sgt Pepper, each member has started to grow towards them, with the partnership of writing songs John Lennon and Paul McCartney which split into every member who wrote their own songs. When George Harrison just spread his wings as a songwriter, he admitted that he did not really like one of The Beatles' biggest projects. What is that?

Wanting to get the band out of their creative space, Harrison initially suggested meeting Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, where The Beatles then traveled to India to meditate. Having plenty of time for themselves, each member starts writing material that eventually builds up more songs than they could fit in previous albums.

However, when Fab Four reunited in England, no member was willing to release their strongest material. Spread in two disks, The White Album will be the only double album the band has released during their lifetime, featuring a number of different styles depending on who wrote the song.

While each member has their own way of playing it, Harrison thinks that a long period of time will hurt the album, while remembering, 'I think doing four sides is a mistake because it's too big for people to really understand it. There are things we can do without this album and make it solid, say, 14 songs or something like that'.

While Harrison doesn't think there's anything wrong with the album, the album's backplay value quickly decreases with him, explains, "Nothing really surprising on the album. Don't think there's something really bad in it. But it's a bit tough, and I feel hard listening to it. In fact, I didn't listen to it myself. I listen to the 1st side, which I really like."

Harrison wasn't the only one who thought his album could be cut. When asked about the focus of this project, producer George Martin thought it would be better if they focused on making an airproof album rather than dividing it into two albums.

Although The White Album featured some of the Beatles' best material, the album wasn't without a problem. During Back in the USSR production, tensions got so hot among the members that Ringo Starr finally left the session, thinking he didn't play well until he received the telegram he asked him to come back.

Even with his indifferent feelings towards the final product, Harrison is responsible for keeping peace across the record. When the band was at its lowest point and couldn't take his songs seriously, Harrison's inclusion of While My Guitar Gently Weeps helped unite the band, featuring the incredible harmony of Paul McCartney and Slowhand produced the most liquefactory guitar of his career.

Despite the many shortcomings, The White Album remains an important moment in the history of The Beatles, displaying the abilities of every band member they will make very good use of in their future solo careers. Fab Four may have brought everything together since leaving the way, but this is where all the tensions from the years together began to infiltrate the recording session.
