Andien Hopes Lady Gaga Will Appear At Next Year's Java Jazz Edition

Singer Andien Aisyah said he was satisfied and moved to see the enthusiasm of the audience crowding the room when he appeared at the Java Jazz Festival 2023 at JIExpo Kemayoran Jakarta, Sunday (4/6).

"I was touched, first because the venue was full, and second, I could see their excited faces. Playing for 18 years since the first Java Jazz, it turns out that the excitement is still the same," said Andien, who appeared wearing a white dress, quoted from Antara.

Penyanyi yang populer dengan sejumlah hits seperti Mati Rasa, Geminang, dan Milikmu Selalu itu, merasa besar aura positif yang diberikan oleh penonton, sehingga ia selalu berupaya memberikan yang terbaik saat tampil di festival jazz terbesar negeri tersebut.

He admitted that Java Jazz is a momentum to present something to music lovers. Usually, for a performance duration of 45 - 60 minutes, Andien brings about seven songs.

"But, this time, I forced to play 15 songs with a new arrangement and a medley so that I could give a special for the audience," said Andien.

Observing the development of the Java Jazz Festival every year, the singer expressed his admiration for the curation team who were observant at the performers so that it provided a fresh feel for the festival.

I always think that the Java Jazz curation team is great. However, every year many singers arrive and are really good. They were waiting to present something at Java Jazz. So, I always see a fresh line-up, so many people find out and then like it, "Andien gave his assessment.

He then hopes that the festival will last throughout the year because it is synonymous with the quality of Indonesian music and becomes an international event for the community to enjoy across countries.

"Wish list? Wow, a lot. Hmm... If possible, next year there will be George Benson, Sting, or, please, invite Lady Gaga, please, bring the jazz set. It will definitely be really cool," Andien said closing the conversation.
