Java Pop, World's Most Ambyar Music Festival Held 8-9 July

JAKARTA - The music festival, which carries the Javanese pop genre, is ready to greet and shake fans from various circles, in an event titled the Java Pop Festival at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK) Jakarta 8-9 July.

Packed as a contemporary music festival that has become part of the lifestyle of young Jakartans, the Java Pop Festival initiated by the promoter of Kaya Pro is here to welcome the enthusiasm of the public for Javanese pop music.

"We want to make Java Pop Festival a music festival that appreciates Javanese artists and culture as a whole, as well as unite people from all over Indonesia and its surroundings," said initiator of the Java Pop Festival, Pulung Agustanto at a press conference session in Jakarta, Sunday afternoon, quoted by Antara.

He said that Javanese pop music is increasingly developing from time to time, so it is not surprising that the younger generation today really loves the genre. This can be reflected, one of which is through creative content on contemporary social media that often uses Javanese pop songs with 'ambyar' nuances.

As the word, 'ambyars' are words that mean divorce, separation, no longer concentrated. The use of this term is very closely related to Javanese pop songs that often prioritize the theme of the loss of love or failure in a wider context.

The term is also synonymous with the figure of a legendary artist, the late singer Didi Kempot, who called his fans his work called Sobat Ambyar. Later, he was lined up as "Father Patah Hati Nasional".

The presence of the Java Pop Festival, continued Pulung, is expected to have a positive impact on promoting Javanese pop music, as well as creating new opportunities for tourism and regional economic growth.

"This festival is a positive momentum for local musicians, especially those in the regions, to be able to appear on stage as big as the GBK Intermediate Stadium. So far, they can only see GBK from television or social media. This is the time to perform," added Pulung.

The plan is that the Java Pop Festival will present a number of line-ups including Dara Ayu, Evan Loss, Guyon Waton, Happy Asmara, and the Jogja Hip Hop Foundation. In addition, the festival, which lasts for two consecutive days, will also feature singer Woro Widowati, Pulung Agustanto, Nabila Maharani, Ndarboy Genk, and NDX AKA.

Java Pop Festival pre-sale tickets can be accessed through the www.tiketkapsa.com page at a price of IDR 150,000 for 1 day and IDR 300.00 for 2 days. Meanwhile, in mid-June, tickets will be sold at a normal price of IDR 275.000 per day and IDR 450,000 for access for 2 days.
