JAKARTA - Honda launched a medium-sized SUV model update, Passport, which will be sold in the US market with a special off-road upgrade on the trim Trailsport. The manufacturer also presents a version of the Black Edition which is the highest trim replacing Elite.

Despite increasing off-road capabilities, Honda also maintains this trim ability to go on-road.

"Honda has offered adventurers a long-lasting and capable SUV like Passport for more than two decades and our new TrailSport model continues to advance off-road capabilities," Lance Woelfer, as Assistant Vice President of Honda US, said in a statement Wednesday, October 4.

The Japanese manufacturer stepped up the suspension which includes adjusting the rate of the spring, changing the tuning of the damping valve, and a stabilizer rod to provide increased articulation on the Passport TrailSport 2024.

The Honda Passport TrailSport is presented with an exterior color of Diffused Sky Blue. Meanwhile, the trim Black Edition gets a touch of Crystal Black Pearl, Sonic Gray, Platinum White, and Radiant Red colors.

Despite making changes in terms of exteriors, Honda still maintains a 3.5 liter V6 engine which produces up to 280 dk of power in all variants.

The automotive manufacturer bearing the "H" logo has not disclosed the selling price at the latest Passport. However, the SUV will be sold starting this fall.
