JAKARTA - After being officially launched a few months ago along with Alphard, Toyota Vellfire 2023 colored Indian roads as luxury MPVs that captivated executives. This imported vehicle (CBU) directly from Japan does offer high luxury, even though it is at a higher price when compared to its home market in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Vellfire 2023 has received a warm welcome from various countries since its global launch, especially in India. In fact, this luxury MPV is reportedly ordered very much in this country, reported by RushLane, Tuesday, September 12.

With high demand, the waiting period to bring the Vellfire can be long, even reaching 14 months in certain areas. This waiting period can also vary based on variants and color choices selected by customers.

In some markets, there are few units available for delivery every month. Even in Japan itself, the waiting period can reach more than 12 months due to high demand. Some dealers in Japan have even stopped accepting orders for this model due to its inability to offset demand.

Toyota was forced to give a greater focus on the domestic market and exports, resulting in this increased waiting period. However, it is hoped that dealers who stop accepting orders in Japan will be able to resume orders for Vellfire in April 2024.

Not only in India and Japan, but the same thing also happened in the Malaysian market. The soaring demand for the Alphard or Vellfire 2023 model made some dealers run out of display units to be exhibited to their customers.

What makes the Vellfire so attractive is its magnificent design and its spacious dimension. Despite maintaining its characteristics, namely the big grip, this MPV looks more attractive with larger water-intake, giving it an aerodynamic advantage.

With the design carrying the theme "Forceful x Impact Luxury," the front of the car looks different from the previous generation. A thinner and regular front light provides a fresh touch to the overall view.

With a length of 5,000 mm and a width of 1,850 mm, the 2023 Vellfire provides great comfort for passengers.

Not only the outer display, the 2023 Vellfire is also equipped with advanced technologies such as Intra-Lane Steering Assist, Deceleration Assist, Remote Park, Cruise Control, and Lane Tracing Assist.

This MPV comes with a 2.4 liter turbo T24A-FTS engine that is more efficient compared to the 3.5 liter V6 engine in the previous version. This machine is combined with direct shift eight acceleration and two or four-wheel drive system.

The hybrid version of the All New Vellfire uses the same engine as the Alphard, namely the 2.5 liter A25A-FXS A25A-FXS Series Hybrid System with e-CVT transmission. Two or four-wheel drive options are available.

Regarding prices, the Toyota Vellfire 2023 is priced at around 10.2 to 10.3 million rupees, or about 1.89 billion to Rp1.9 billion. This is the first time the Vellfire has passed Alphard in terms of prices in the global market.
