JAKARTA - Recently, an automotive company from China, Chery, officially introduced their latest development in the electric car sector named Luxeed. This electric sedan is the result of a collaboration between Chery and Huawei.

Although these two companies are working together in developing these vehicles, Chery and Huawei have agreed not to use their brands on this car. This car will be marketed under the Luxeed brand, as will several other automotive companies that use sub-brands.

According to a report from Carnewschina on Monday, August 7, the Luxeed car, named EH3, was built using a special platform called E0X developed by Chery.

This car design carries a dynamic futuristic concept. In the body, there is a touch of design similar to car models from BYD Han, Voyah Passion (Zhuluang), and Nio ET7.

The side side of the car displays the impression of aerodynamics with curves that not only beautify the appearance, but also play a role in increasing aerodynamic efficiency. This car is also equipped with a five-stop rim that gives a luxurious impression, and a sophisticated braking system from Brembo.

However, Luxeed EH3 does not only offer these things. As a rival of the Tesla Model 3, this electric sedan is equipped with a CATL battery capable of providing a range of up to 700 km in a single charge. The charging system is also powered by an efficient 800V charging technology.

Although the engine power specifications have not been disclosed, Luxeed EH3 is powered by a double electric motor in collaboration with the all-wheel drive system (AWD), providing better performance in various conditions.

Meanwhile, Huawei's role in the development of EH3 lies in its software system. The car is equipped with Huawei ADS 2.0 which helps drivers. Huawei claims that ADS 2.0 is capable of driving autonomously up to a distance of 200 km, allowing this car to explore urban environments and toll roads sophisticatedly. This feature is supported by other technologies such as LiDAR, 11 HD cameras, 3 millimeter-way radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars.

The HarmonyOS 4 operating system from Huawei also supports this electric sedan, enabling connectivity with various other Huawei devices. The EH3 is also equipped with a Qualcomm 8295 chip that allows for a connection with a quadcopter drone.

Even though it is equipped with superior advanced technology, Luxeed EH3 is sold at an affordable price. The price of this electric sedan is set at around 200,000 yuan or around Rp422 million, and is scheduled to launch to the market by the end of 2023.
