JAKARTA - After BMW recently released its newest SUV, XM, recently the German manufacturer revealed its performance for the BMW XM 50e entry-level variant.

BMW XM 50e is aimed primarily at the Asian market, but it is reported that the specifications are different from expected. Prior to its release, although the initial variant XM 50e is rumored to have an upgraded six-cylindrical hybrid powertrain that was previously within M760e, which is likely to produce 592 dk of power.

In fact, the plug-in hybrid SUV is only 469 dk or 350 kW, thanks to the inline-six turbocharged engine, as reported by Carscoops, Monday, April 17, 2023.

BMW claims, XM 50e can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour within 5.1 seconds, which is certainly much slower when compared to other XM variants that can produce 644 dk of V8 engine.

Although its performance is said to be standard, at least the BMW XM entry-level has a battery with a superior range. It is known, the BMW XM entry-level can cover a distance of up to 84 km when the car is traveling in electric power.

The power disclosure comes as news circulated that the BMW dealers are offering massive discounts to the US market, which is likely that XM sales will sell well.

But BMW has yet to announce whether the BMW entry-level variant will also be marketed in the US.
