JAKARTA - The film "1 Brother 7 Ponakan" (1k7P) directed by Yandy Laurens premiered as the closing film for the 2024 Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) event in Yogyakarta. The moment was accompanied by the release of an official poster for the film which will be shown in cinemas throughout Indonesia starting January 23, 2025.

"I represent the crew and actors of the film '1 Brother 7 Ponakan' feeling happy and honored, our film is closing a film on JAFF," said Chicco Kurniawan as the main character in the film "1K7P" in his official statement in Jakarta, citing ANTARA, Sunday 8 Dese,ber.

"Hopefully the audience can enjoy it and give a deep impression," he continued.

The '1K7P' follows the story of Moko (Chicco Kurniawan), a young architect who is struggling for his dream. Suddenly, Moko had to be a 'single parent' for his nephews after Moko's two brothers died suddenly.

When an opportunity for a better life arises, Moko must choose between his love life, career, and nephews. Will Moko succeed in living his new life.

Meanwhile, the film "1K7P" is an adaptation of Arswendo Atmowiloto's story with the same title. Presented and produced by Mandela Pictures and Film Stories, 1K7P was produced by Lavesh Samtani and Suryana Paramita, as well as written and directed by Yandy Laurens.

The film "1K7P" stars Chicco Kurniawan, Amanda Rawles, Badminton JKT48, Fatih Unru, Ahmad Nadif, Kawai Labiba, Ringgo Agus Rahman, Niken Anjani, Kiki Narendra, and Maudy Koesnaedi.
