Mission: Impossible 8 Release Postponed A Year To 2025

JAKARTA - A number of Hollywood films have been delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Paramount Pictures postponed the release of Mission: Impossible's latest film for up to a year.

Initially, the film Mission: Impossible - Deadeckoning Part 2 was planned to air on June 28, 2024. Now, the release date has changed to May 23, 2025 because production is still being postponed due to a strike that has not ended in the near future.

Because the SAG-AFTRA actor union is still running, the actors and production houses with solidarity do not shoot.

Launching Variety, in addition to Mission: Impossible, several other films are also predicted to delay its release. A Quiet Place: Day One, prequel from the original film will air on June 28, 2024, a few months apart from the initial schedule.

SoniumBob Squarepants' latest animated film has also been changed to 19 December 2025 from 23 May 2025.

It doesn't stop there, John Krasinski's latest film, IF, starring Alan Kim, Ryan Reynolds, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Krasinski will air on May 17, 2024, which was previously May 24, 2024. The previous slot will be filled by prequel Mad Max, Furiosa, Garfield, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

Paramount and Skydance reportedly changed the name of Mission: Impossible - Deadeckoning Part Two, which was initiated to continue Dead Reckoning Part One.

The film, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, was one of the box office during the pandemic because it drew a positive response. The film earned $567 million globally and had a chance to argue because it did not get an Imax broadcast slot after competing with Christopher Nolan's film Oppenheimer.

Mission: Impossible 7 stars Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt with Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, and Vanessa Kirby.

A number of new players such as Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Esai Morales and Henry Czerny who had appeared in their first film were also presented again.
