Ahead Of World Premiere At Busan International Film Festival, Ali Typhoon Releases First Look Video

JAKARTA - Ali Topan's film, presented by Visinema Pictures by director Sidharta Tata, will represent Indonesia at the 2023 Busan International Film Festival which will be held in South Korea, one of the most prestigious film awards in the world. Ahead of his departure to BIFF, the film Ali Topan released the first look video on the Visinema Pictures and Instagram Youtube channel @alitopanfilm.

The first look features Jefri Nichol as Ali Topan, and Lutesha as Anna Karenina. The two of them have a romantic relationship but are faced with a number of exciting and tense challenges and adventures. The first look video also leaked a song entitled Serana from the band For Revenge which fills the soundtrack for the film Ali Topan.

Apart from Jefri Nichol and Lutesha, the film, which is based on the best-selling novel titled 'Ali Topan' by Teguh Esha, also features a row of talented stars such as Ari Sihasale, Onadio Leonardo, Reza Hilman, Omara Esteghlal, Bebeto Leutualy and Axel Matthew.

The cast along with the filmmakers and film crew Ali Topan will go to South Korea to attend Ali Topan's premiere at BIFF 2023. Ali Topan's film will premiere on October 7, 9 and 10, 2023.

Seeing this, Jefri Nichol said that he was very honored that Ali Topan's film could represent an Indonesian film at an international event of BIFF. He also hopes that this film will later get a positive response from the audience present at the event.

"I, as the one who plays Ali Topan, am honored to be able to represent Indonesian films at the Busan International Film Festival. I hope that when the world premiere later, the film Ali Topan gets a positive response from the audience at BIFF and can make Indonesia proud," said Jefri Nichol in a media statement received by VOI, Thursday, October 4.

"Then because of the many people who have been waiting for the film Ali Topan, hopefully with the release of the first look video, it can give them an overview of the excitement of the adventure that Ali Topan experienced. Wait for the surprise date of the game, yes," Nichol continued.

At BIFF, the film Ali Topan is included in the category A Window on Asian Cinema which highlights the latest films from well-known directors and newcomers to the film industry so that viewers can understand the spirit of Asian films this year.

Departing from the legendary IP, the film Ali Topan produced by Visinema will come with the latest story featuring the visuals and enthusiasm of young people today. Not only Ali Topan, the film produced by Visinema entitled '24 Hours with Gaspar', starring Reza Rahadian, also enlivened the 2023 Busan International Film Festival. Thus, Visinema is the only production house in Indonesia whose two long films were screened at the film festival.
