Morgan Oey Debuts South Korean Film, Acting Together Go Ah Sung

JAKARTA - Morgan Oey shared his latest acting project. He will debut in a South Korean film entitled Because I Hate Korea which is the opening film at the 2023 Busan Film Festival.

Through his latest post, Morgan Oey will act in a film adapted from a novel of the same name by Jang Kang Myung. The film Because I Hate Korea tells the story of Gye Na, a woman who has a final age of two heads.

Gye Na decided to leave her job, family, and lover to move to New Zealand to find happiness.

Morgan Oey will compete acting with Go Ah Sung, Joo Jong Hyuk, Kim Woo Kyum, Oh Min Ae, and Park Sung Il under Jang Gyu Jae's direction.

"In the beginning of this year, I had the opportunity to work in a beautiful film called Because I Hate Korea with great people from South Korea," Morgan Oey wrote today, Friday, September 29.

The paint's out of the bag, this film was officially selected as the opening film for the Busan International Film Festival this year. Very enthusiastic and proud of this achievement," Morgan continued.

"Congratulations to everyone involved in this film. And thank you for involving me, it's an honor! Thank you," he added in the letter hangul.

This is Morgan Oey's latest project after the Killing Love Poem earlier this year. In addition, Go Ah Sung returned to the big screen after starring in the last Samjin English Company Class in 2020.

Actor Joo Jong Hyuk is also the film as his first project in 2023 after the film Spy-type Model in 2022. On the other hand, it is not yet known whether this film will air theatrically or not.
