JAKARTA - Inara Rusli's attorney, Arjana Bagaskara, became the first person to reveal to the public about his client's discourse to demand royalties obtained by Virgoun from his songs.

As previously known, Inara Rusli through her attorney demanded two-thirds of Virgoun's royalties as part of the distribution of Gono-gini assets.

But over time, Arjana seemed no longer enthusiastic about royalty demands. He said that his claim had been rejected by Virgoun during the trial.

"The reason for his rejection, from answers and duplicates, which we see because it concerns work with third parties," said Arjana Bagaskara when met at the West Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday, August 30.

Unlike before, Arjana no longer talked about her strategy regarding royalty demands. He stated that the focus of his client is currently child custody.

But Arjana is still trying to link the royalty demands with evidence of Virgoun's income. However, he did not want to elaborate further on the relevance between his demands and the evidence from Virgoun.

"The defendant's camp has provided proof of Mr. Virgoun's income. In our opinion, it is relevant to our evidence related to royalties," said Arjana.

On the other hand, Wijayono Hadi Sukrisno as Virgoun's attorney stated that Inara Rusli's demands regarding royalties were still unclear. He saw that the charges could still be debated.

"It's still debateable, it still needs to be debated whether royalties are in the realm of proof or not in the realm of judges," said Virgoun's attorney.

Meanwhile, regarding the protracted trial, Arjana Bagaskara agreed. He said the postponement of the trial made his client's divorce process take longer. The trial, which according to him can be decided, is still waiting for evidence from Virgoun as the defendant.

"From the point of view, this trial is quite protracted, yes, because there was a postponement 2 weeks ago. But yes, we just run it as well as possible," said Arjana Bagaskara, Inara Rusli's attorney.

For information, Inara Rusli's attorney asked for at least two trial proofs to be postponed.

On July 18, Inara Rusli asked for the trial to prove that it was postponed because Arjana Bagaskara was still in Bandung and Inara as principally unable to attend.

Then, Inara Rusli, who was asked to present witnesses on August 9, asked for the trial to be postponed on the grounds that the witness planned to attend was not ready.
