The Trial Of Divorce Protracted, Virgoun Presents 15 Evidences

JAKARTA - The follow-up trial for the divorce of Virgoun and Inara Rusli took place at the West Jakarta Religious Court (PA) on Wednesday, August 30. The trial was scheduled for Virgoun as the defendant to present evidence.

Virgoun, who was not present, was represented by his legal team, Wijayono Hadi Sukrisno and Adrianus Agal. Both of them brought 15 written evidences that had been submitted to the panel of judges.

"Today the agenda of the trial conveys the defendant's evidence from Virgoun. We have submitted evidence of approximately 15 written evidences. And earlier the written evidence was submitted," said Wijayono Hadi Sukrisno alias Kris after the trial.

The evidence presented is in the form of documents owned by Virgoun for marriage certificates, birth certificates and other letters.

"The evidence is like a marriage certificate and a birth certificate, that's all. It has been directly conveyed. Evidence related to marriage and divorce problems," said Kris.

So far, Virgoun's legal team has not presented written evidence related to social media. However, it is possible that the chat evidence or those originating from social media will be presented at the upcoming trial.

"Nothing, we don't have evidence of social media yet, maybe an addition tomorrow. We don't have any evidence related to social media today. What is related to social media may be additional evidence, but it's not significant, it's just a little," said Kris.

"Today, only the letters related to the family. At least if there is additional (evidence from social media), five," he added.

Regarding the protracted divorce trial process, Kris stated that the trial had so far been going according to procedures and could not be said long.

"And actually this is not long, because the procedure is indeed a lawsuit according to the applicable legal report. Initially it was administration, mediation, answers, replicas, duplicates, evidence from the plaintiff, now (evidence) from us. Right, if it is calculated, it is still make sense, "concluded Kris, Virgoun's attorney.
