JAKARTA - After the production of a horror film entitled Mati the Movie Village, Kami Sinema will produce the 2nd horror film titled Guest Magrib. This film is adapted from a short film with the same title as millions of viewers on YouTube.

The production house Kami Sinema will collaborate with Director Jay Sukmo, who has worked on several drama and horror films.

The second film is still being produced by Pilip Tenonet and Olivia Irawanchen as producer executives. "The film Guest Maghrib is planned to be produced by the end of 2023 and will be shown in all cinemas in 2024," said Pilip to VOI, Monday, August 14.

Meanwhile, Olivia admitted that she was attracted to Guest Maghrib because the short film was quite disturbing to her ears. "From the title, it just sounds sexy," explained Olivia irawanchen.

In addition to adapting to short films on YouTube, this film is also a base on true story that tells the story of someone who has been missing when Maghrib arrived, this story is taken from a resident in the Banyumas area a few years ago.

"So when Maghrib came and the call to prayer sounded, all the doors of the residents' houses were tightly closed, none of them dared to leave the house, this became an epic story and made goosebumps, especially when one of the doors was knocked by a creature that didn't know where it came from, which obviously heard it, it had made the hair stand. stand," he continued.

Director Jay Sukmo was chosen to look at this film because it was consistent in his work. "The films have a weight on the story, especially since he is very concerned about stories and scenarios. Sometimes when he receives a decree from the author and feels less creative, he will be fooled until the scenario is really strong. So I'm sure in his hands this film will be something more," explained Pilip Tenonet as the Producer.
