Executing Dreams, Nafa Urbach Becomes Film Producer

JAKARTA - Known as an actress and singer since the 90s, Nafa Urbach has now penetrated his career as a producer in the latest film drama Tears in Ujung Sajadah. In the film, Nafa was accompanied by another producer, Ronny Irawan, who is also his best friend.

"This is the first film that I produced with Ronny, we have been friends for a long time, and we really have aspirations to own our own production house and make films together," Nafa said at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday, August 4.

According to him, it is not too difficult to take control as a producer, because in his first role as a producer, Ronny was helped more.

Apart from being the second producer, Nafa mostly plays his role as a friend to help Ronny complain and give a good view.

"The making of this film, if there is a lot of pressure, is Ronny, usually when he is too depressed, tangled, and stressed, I just meet him. Well, usually I will give him space to take his children out until he cries," said Nafa.

Furthermore, the actress who had run for legislative candidate from the Nasdem Party several years ago said that her reason for becoming a film producer was none other than to realize her long-standing goals.

No longer have time to act in front of the camera, it is also the right time to make his dream come true, according to the actor in the majority horror genre film.

"Maybe because I'm too busy, I turned down a lot of offers to play movies, finally, we've made our own films, I'm serious, then it finally happened," said the woman who was born on June 15, 1980.

Although initially intending to make a horror film, Nafa Urbach said Tears in Ujung Sajadah have a very interesting storyline and are connected to the stories of most people. He hopes that the film made first can be accepted in society.

The tears in Ujung Sajadah tells the story of a woman named Aqilla (Titi Kamal) who gives birth to a baby, but the baby is given to a childless couple, Arif (Fedi Nuril) and Yumna (Citra Kirana) by Aqila's mother, Halimah without her knowledge.

The two of them have adopted and cared for the child named Baskara for seven years. The conflict arose when Aqila wanted to reclaim the child after only knowing that her biological child was still alive.

The film also stars senior Citra Cup-winning actress Jenny Rahman, as well as famous actresses and other actors such as Krisjiana Baharudin, Faqih Alaydrus, and Tutie Kirana.
