23 Years Ahead, Derby Remero Still Can't Believe He Can Act Again With Sherina Munaf

JAKARTA - Derby Romero again competed acting with Sherina Munaf in the film Adventure of Sherina 2 produced by Miles Films. After undergoing the shooting process in Jakarta and Kalimantan, the film is planned to be released in September.

For Derby, again acting with Sherina after 23 years is something that has never crossed his mind. Although both have careers in the entertainment industry since childhood, never once have the two competed acting outside the film Adventure of Sherina.

"I didn't expect that, we've been friends all this time, then we're friends, but we've never been on a project other than Sherina's first adventure film to Sherina 2 Adventure. And that feels really great, you could say magical," said Derby Romero at Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, June 14.

Although he has not played in the same film project for 23 years, Derby calls his friendship with Sherina since childhood the key to rebuilding chemistry while filming.

"Because we've been playing for a long time, friends have been around for a long time, even when it comes to characters, I think it's already there," Derby said.

"So, when we entered, we got chemistry from the start. So, it's really good for friends on Sherina's Adventure," he continued.

Recalling her friendship with Sherina, which has been going on for decades, Derby does not deny that there is a time when the relationship is quite tenuous because of their busy schedules. However, they always take the time to chat when there is time.

"From the beginning, I felt that we were going through various kinds of growth. From childhood to we were getting older, we were friends non-stop. It's just that there are on and off, he's busy, I'm busy. But, every time we have time, we definitely meet and it must be chatting. Until today too," concluded Derby Romero.
