JAKARTA - The film Paku Tanah Jawa will soon be produced and will be shooting starting June 4 tomorrow. This horror genre film is a collaboration between two production houses in different countries, Loop Entertainment from Indonesia and Armani Entertainment from Malaysia.

Dato KK Chua as the executive producer from Malaysia said that his party was interested in the horror stories in Indonesia. Therefore, he did not hesitate to participate in the film Paku Tanah Jawa.

"For us, of course, the story is interesting. My team and I also like horror stories, stories that we have based on true stories," said Dato KK Chua at a press conference in Antasari, South Jakarta on Friday, June 2.

Furthermore, Dato said that the stories offered in the film can also be enjoyed more widely, not only Indonesian spectators, but also Malaysian spectators and also possible in other Southeast Asian countries.

There is a potential that this story will be loved by the audience. I have spoken with distributors from other countries to be able to broadcast this abroad," he said.

As the title implies, Paku Tanah Jawa, which is the nickname for Mount Tidar which is in Magelang, the story in this film will raise the myth that is there. Meanwhile, the shooting location will run in Yogyakarta, southeast of Mount Tidar, where many people believe in the myths.

Drias as the director expressed his enthusiasm in welcoming the upcoming shooting process. He has also prepared Masayu Anastasia who will play a sinden to undergo several things first.

"In Java, there are many Javanese kleniks, let alone sinden. I think tomorrow Masayu will bring him closer to the mastermind so that he follows the ritual. So he has to follow the rules in Java, because sinden can't play games. Maybe tomorrow one day full will focus on getting closer to sinden whether he has to fast full or what," said Drias.

Meanwhile, Masayu said the role of the sinden she played was a new challenge in her acting career. However, he stated that he would perform totally in order to present the maximum quality of acting.

"This is a new challenge for me. As a sinden, I have to practice dancing, practice nyinden and have to interact with snakes. I hate snakes, but for the sake of totality in my work, I also learn Javanese dialogue," concluded Masayu Anastasia.
