JAKARTA - Vino G Bastian and Marsha Timothy are paired in Qodrat. The film, which will air on October 27, 2022, presents a different horror story, which follows the journey of an ustaz named Qodrat, played by Vino G. Bastian.

The director, Charles Gozali, said that Qodrat's film came from his anxiety and his team as filmmakers. He said that this film would be different from other horror films, and starred actors who rarely appeared in horror genre films.

"Qodrat comes from our anxiety in entertainment, because we don't usually make horror. But horror has become the essence in Indonesia even in the world, so we try to make something different for sure with Qodrat. We collaborate with the best team, classy actors who may not be seen in horror films. But hopefully we can get the hearts of viewers who already like horror," Charles Gozali explained during a press conference at XXI Plaza Indonesia, Wednesday, October 19.

Not only horror, this film also offers intense action scenes. Vino and Marsha had to fight with significant movements.

"This is why I feel made it easier because Vino and Marsha are the main players. So for a significant match scene they are not awkward. Imagine this rising to the chest, being rotated, thrown, the physical contact is very intense. If it weren't them I wouldn't be sure the results will be like they are now," he said.

Meanwhile, Vino G. Bastian admits that he can't wait for this film to be watched in general, because the reaction to the premiere has been so interesting.

"I watched my friends watching it, my reaction was quite happy. I was happy to see my friends' reaction," said Vino G. Bastian.

"I think this is a horror film that I have been waiting for, different from the concept that is usually made by Rapi. I myself am very satisfied, optimistic about this film, hoping to get a decent place in Indonesian cinema," said producer Sunil Samtani.
