The reason Kanye West was blocked on Twitter and Instagram

JAKARTA - Accounts belonging to rapper Kanye West were temporarily blocked by Twitter and Instagram because their uploads were considered anti-Semitic. West was banned from Instagram account on Friday, October 7th.

Quoted from Reuters, Monday, October 10, Kanye West in Instagram content, which has since been deleted, accused a musician of being controlled by "the Jews".

After being blocked by Instagram, Kanye West turned to Twitter, tweeting for the first time in two years.

The platform said Kanye West's account was temporarily restricted so he could not upload content, leave comments and send messages.

On Twitter he uploaded a photo of Meta Platform CEO Mark Zuckerberg singing karaoke. "Look at this Mark how you kicked me off instagram," wrote Kanye West.

"You guys are playing with me and trying to turn down anyone who goes against your agenda," he continued.

He also wrote that he was not an anti-Semite. The tweet was removed by Twitter for violating their policies. A Twitter spokesperson confirmed that the platform locked Kanye West's account.

It's unclear how long Ye will be unable to have access to his Twitter account, as the platform's rules say it can put user profiles in "read-only mode" for 12 hours to seven days depending on the violation.

Elon Musk, who is in the process of buying Twitter, replied to one of Kanye West's tweets "Welcome back to Twitter, my friends!".

Earlier this year Kanye Wet's account was suspended from Instagram for 24 hours because he made racist comments to comedian Trevor Noah.
