The Story Of A Convert Soraya Larasati, Get Guidance When Coming Home From An Early Day Party

JAKARTA - Celebrity Soraya Larasati has been a convert to Islam since 2012. Her story of converting began when she got a question from her father. She didn't expect her fun partying to bring her to this point.

Soraya admitted that she liked the party because the producers could glance at her. As a result, she went to parties every night.

"Wow, when I performed first, I wore a tank top, because I was still a teenager, so I felt I was entertainment, so I had to exist," said Soraya Larasati at the Hijrah event.

"I have to exist. I have to be seen everywhere, otherwise, how do I want the producers to stare at me? Anyway, I really liked the party at that time," she continued.

The father who saw his daughter's habit often asked when Soraya Larasati would come home. In addition, she just found out that her father likes to pray for his daughter to get guidance from Allah.

“Almost every day I go out at night. Then every day I was called and asked "Where are you, go home, it's already this hour," she said.

Soraya admitted that she always answered that she would be home soon but in fact, she still came home at three in the morning. One time when she came home, she saw her father praying tahajjud and was moved.

"It's sad, I feel like geez when I can do better than this than wasting my time wasting my money," she explained.

Soraya slowly changed herself and began to pray diligently. All of this is thanks to seeing my father who consistently prays for Soraya Larasati every prayer.

"It's true that if we try to get closer, Allah will get closer. Suddenly I was given a thought to try it. Fasting holds my lust, prays too. I pray, I feel more refreshed and calm. Indeed, the test is still there," he said.
