New Album, Harry Styles Returns To Music Through 'As It Was'

JAKARTA - Harry Styles is back with his new song As It Was on Friday, April 1. This song is the opening single from the latest album titled Harry's House which will be released this year.

As It Was is an 80s track with a synth-pop genre. The lyrics themselves tell about the feeling of solitude and life from the public's view.

This personal song begins with a sample of the voice of a five-year-old boy speaking to Harry. It is revealed that this child is Ruby Winston, the godson of Ben Winston.

"I'm excited and I think for the first time I'm releasing music of true personal freedom," Harry Styles said on SiriusXM.

The new Harry Styles' song was co-written with Tyler Johnson and Kid Harpoon, the people who participated in Styles' previous album - Fine Line.

He also released a three-minute music video featuring colorful visuals. Styles is seen wearing a red bodysuit and dancing throughout the music video.

"The process has been for me the most exhilarating of anything I've experienced so far making music," said Harry Styles.

As It Was made by Harry Styles at a friend's house in England. He explained that this was the last song he wrote for Harry's House.

Harry Styles is releasing music again after wrapping up filming for the films Eternals, Don't Worry Darling, and My Policeman. Styles' new album, Harry's House, will be released on May 20.
