Director Says Jujutsu Kaisen 0 The Movie Is Funny And Lots Of Love

JAKARTA - The director of the animated film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Sunghoo Park shared his experience in working on the prequel to the animated and comic series Jujutsu Kaisen by manga-ka Gege Akutami.

Park said he was pleased with the final outcome of the film when it was shown on the big screen. He also appreciates the talents behind the scenes.

"When I made this film, I made it with the intention of presenting Tokyo Jujutsu High in a solid image, and when I actually saw the film in the theater, I was shocked at how spacious and beautiful the school was," Park said, quoted by Crunchyroll. , Saturday, March 26.

"Many animators are not used to drawing within a cinemascope frame, which is a challenge, but the size of the cinemascope, which is unique to cinema, allows us to more beautifully display wider scenes and backgrounds, and I feel satisfied that I was able to convey to a global audience. As for the creators behind the film, Park wants fans to know that everyone involved in the work, including the various staff members, the production team, and the Jujutsu Kaisen production committee loved this work.

"Everyone's 'love for Jujutsu' is very strong, and I believe that everyone united in their love and enjoyment of making this work must be the reason why the audience thought it was a great work and enjoyed it immensely," said Park.

"It's a funny story, but all of the production staff members have so much love for each character that each of them sometimes interprets and expresses their favorite characters in their own way."

Furthermore, Park said he learned a lot from the emotional closeness of fans of the manga and anime "Jujutsu Kaisen". That's what makes Park focus on the emotional side and the character in the film adaptation.

"While producing the theatrical version, I was determined to engage emotionally with the various characters... This is the challenge I take for the theatrical version and what I'm trying to do to make a better work," said Park.

Park then revealed the most exciting scene he worked on in the film. According to him, the scene is action in the second half.

"All the action scenes in the second half were exciting, as were the scenes featuring Gojo, Okkotsu, Geto, and Rika. When this film was released in Korea, I saw a reaction in local theaters and many people said that watching movies on 4DX is the best experience! " said Park.
