JAKARTA - PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) has added a business portfolio through the development of a clean energy-based Subang Smartpolitan Industrial Estate through Solar Power Plants (PLTS).

This was marked by the signing of the Shareholders Agreement (SHA) between PT PLN Nusantara Renewables (PLN NR) and PT Surya Subang Smartpolitan (SSS) which took place at the Head Office of PT PLN (Persero).

The agreement was signed by PLN President Director NR Harjono and PT Surya Subang Smartpolitan Director Didi Wihardi witnessed by PLN Planning and Development Director (Persero) Hartanto Wibowo, PLN NP President Director Ruly Firmansyah, and PT Suryacipta Swadaya's Vice President Director Wilson Effendy.

PLN NP President Director Ruly Firmansyah said the development of the Subang Smartpolitan Industrial Estate, with the support of PLTS with a capacity of 18 MWp, was designed to create a Subang Smartpolitan Area in West Java with clean and sustainable energy availability facilities.

"This project is a combination of the development of integrated industrial estates and new renewable energy power plants (EBT). This project was developed by PLN NP through its subsidiary PLN Nusantara Renewables (PLN NR)," said Ruly, Friday, December 20.

He explained that this project was a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding between PT PLN (Persero) and PT Suryacipta Swadaya on April 5, 2023.

The existence of the Additional Demand project for the Smartpolitan Industrial Estate further strengthens Harjono's optimism, the President Director of PLN Nusantara Renewables, to accelerate Indonesia's energy transition.

"I hope initiatives like this will open up more opportunities for collaboration between PLN Group and stakeholders to accelerate the energy transition in our beloved country," said Harjono.
