Lake Toba People's Party And Aquabike Jetski World Championship In Samosir Sedot 50 Thousand Visitors

JAKARTA - The Lake Toba People's Party, which is part of the Aquabike Jetski World Championship agenda on Lake Toba on the third day, on Friday, November 24, 2023, managed to attract tens of thousands of visitors. Residents flocked to watch the international water sports race and also the People's Party which presents musicians and cultural performances.

Residents who attended were satisfied with the presence of the Aquabike Jetski World Championship event featuring world athletes and also from Indonesia as well as the People's Party which brought various entertainment and various MSMEs. They hope that a similar event can be held again so that it can raise the image of Lake Toba as a water sport tourism destination to the eyes of the world.

One of the visitors from Medan, Mrs. Widi, was impressed by the holding of this event. He hopes that this event will not only be held once but also sustainably.

"Hopefully in the future there will be more events like this in Samosir, whether Aquabike Jetski or F1 Powerboat so that Lake Toba becomes more lively, especially if there is a music show that makes the atmosphere even more exciting," said the Governor who was present with his friends. The Lake Toba People's Party in Samosir Regency is also an MSME event in North Sumatra to show its various products. InJourney in collaboration with the local district government provides tents for MSMEs to hold various products.

Rentina Sihaloho, one of the MSME owners, admitted that she was very happy that there was an international-scale event on Lake Toba. Rentina, who is a winder from Ulos Huta Raja Village, admitted that many buyers were interested in her ulos merchandise fabrics.

"The existence of this event is not only a means of selling, but also an image of traditional fabrics which are the culture of the people of North Sumatra. Hopefully, our weaving can be even more famous for events like this," said Rentina.

On the first day of the championship which took place in Karo Regency, French racer Jean Bruno Pastorello won with a total of 47 points. Jean Bruno Pastorello won again on the second day of the race held in Dairi. With a total of 45 points, Pastorello managed to climb the podium in first place for the Dairi Cup.

He defeated Rashed Aldawas from Kuwait who bagged 44 points, and Alejandro Molina Miranda from Spain who won 38 points.
