JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) facilitates the creation of cooperation opportunities between dairy management commodities and their derivative products in Yogyakarta and Joint Production House Managers through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities.

"Kemenkop UKM held this activity which is expected to involve the active role of various parties in collaboration in supporting downstreaming dairy derivative products through strengthening the ecosystem, increasing added value with innovation, and creating quality job opportunities," said Deputy for Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Cooperative Affairs, SMEs Siti Azizah in a written statement received by VOI, Monday, November 13.

Deputy Azizah said, one of the development concepts in the Government's Work Plan (RKP) is the Major Project of Integrated Management by Cooperatives and MSMEs which encourages local governments and business actors to pay attention to integrated business consistency from upstream to downstream.

Participants of the FGD for the Development of Local Entrepreneurship Capacity in the Integrated MSME Area of the Milk Commodity Sector consist of the offices in charge of KUKM and livestock, the cooperative of milk producers in the Sleman area, and business actors who have succeeded in consolidating dairy derivative products.

"This FGD aims to create opportunities for cooperation between dairy cooperatives, stakeholders for dairy product managers and their derivatives with the Joint Production House Management Cooperative, as well as local governments," said Azizah.

"Through this activity, it is also hoped that an ecosystem that strengthens each other with innovations that are in accordance with market demand," he added.

Not only facilitating opportunities for cooperation with cooperatives, said Azizah, the discussion forum also provides business consultations with collaborator partners and strategic partners, such as artist cheese producer Mazaraat Artistan Cheese which has entered the Singapore and Malaysian markets.

"In addition, PT Tigaraksa Tbk, which is a good practice of milk production services (maklon), also offers the management of dairy products and their derivatives produced by cooperatives, provided that they have complete certification," he said.

As for academics, said Azizah, his party assesses the opportunity to implement System Closed Loop Innovation and pentahelix synergy to strengthen the integrated management ecosystem of production houses with milk derivative products in a sustainable manner.

"On the other hand, product positioning is considered very important in marketing strategies so that bundling options with tourist destinations are very potential to attract tourists," he added.
