Groundbreaking Pakuwon Nusantara At IKN, Jokowi Happy Someone Builds Hotels To Malls

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) laid the first stone or groundbreaking for the Pakuwon Nusantara project in the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara with an investment value of IDR 5 trillion.

"I am happy that PT Pakuwon has preceded the construction of hotels, apartments and malls," Jokowi said in his remarks as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Wednesday, November 1.

Jokowi hopes that the groundbreaking can provide another wave of development. He even asked the Head of the IKN Authority, Bambang Susantono, to prioritize investment from within the country.

"We hope this will encourage another wave of development. Earlier, the head of the authority had said that in December I was ordered to come here again because there was a groundbreaking," he said.

Meanwhile, PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk through its subsidiary, PT Pakuwon Nusantara Abadi (PNA) marks the start of the construction of a superblock in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) by groundbreaking today, November 1, 2023.

The construction of a superblock project called 'Pakuwon Nusantara' is located in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) with an investment value of IDR 5 trillion.

President Director of PT Pakuwon Nusantara Abadi Eiffel Tedja said that the planned construction of a superblock in IKN consists of a shopping center, condominium and three (3) hotels will be very profitable in the long term.

"The momentum of Pakuwon Nusantara's Groundbreaking is a sign of Pakuwon's full support for the State Capital (IKN)," he said in a written statement.

The Pakuwon Nusantara superblock construction project itself has an area of 7.2 hectares (ha) and is located strategically in the National Aximation Area and right in front of the "Nol Point" monument.

By cooperating with the Marriott International group, the Pakuwon Nusantara project will build Hotel Four Points by Sheraton. Followed by the construction of shopping centers, Hotel Tribute Portfolio by Marriott, Hotel Westin, and ballroom.
