Menteri Teten Soal Aturan Lartas Bakal Rampung Pekan Ini: Menurut Saya Perlu Ratas Lagi

JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki said regulations regarding the supervision of border imports (pabean areas) as the implementation of prohibitions and restrictions (lartas) are still under discussion.

Menteri Teten menilai, perlu adanya ratas terbatas (ratas) sebanyak dua kali untuk menyelesaikan aturan tersebut.

"In my opinion, there needs to be two more flats, first for platform arrangements, and secondly, maybe later trade arrangements with online trading, including the results of the previous meeting regarding tightening imports," said Teten in response to VOI questions at the Kemenkop UKM Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 25.

Teten added that the regulation regarding the amount of imports is indeed entirely under the authority of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) and the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag).

So, according to him, it is the responsibility of the two ministries.

"Indeed, right, if there is no policy in my place, everything is in the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Trade," he said.

Therefore, Teten admitted that he had not received further information about when the rules would be finalized.

"I haven't received an update from the Coordinating Minister, yes, basically we want to tighten imports just to protect domestic products," he concluded.

As previously reported, the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) has confirmed that the regulations regarding supervision of border imports (pabean areas) as the implementation of restrictions and restrictions (laltas) will be completed this week.

Director General of Resilience, Regional & Access International Industry (KPAII) of the Ministry of Industry Eko Cahyanto said that currently the discussion has reached the finalization stage with the Ministry of Trade and the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy.

Eko explained that there are several security arrangements schemes, namely in the form of Surveyor Reports (LS), Import Approval (PI) as well as technical considerations or technical recommendations.

However, he admitted that he was still analyzing the application of the lartas rules to the group of goods subject to the regulation.
