JAKARTA – Reku in collaboration with the Indonesian Blockchain Association (ABI) continues efforts to literacy crypto assets and blockchain technology among students.

Reku Chief Operating Officer (COO) Jesse Choi said, Reku and ABI will hold crypto and blockchain literacy activities in the ABI Goes to Campus program at four well-known campuses in Indonesia, namely the University of Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology, Bogor Agricultural Institute, and Bina Nusantara University (Binus) until the end of 2023.

Jesse said that education and literacy are activities that are consistently held and are the most important fundamentals before people enter crypto assets. Reku provides understanding and practice regarding the concepts, potential, risks, and trends of the crypto market.

"So that the younger generation can become more aware of existing investment options and can make wiser investment decisions," said Jesse in his official statement, Thursday, October 19.

Jesse continued, that around 48 percent of Reku users are millennials and Gen Z. This illustrates the great interest and participation of this generation in the world of crypto and blockchain.

"For this reason, through this literacy activity it is also hoped that students will further increase their understanding and participation in the crypto ecosystem," added Jesse.

Apart from holding literacy activities, Reku also invites students to become actively involved in online community groups.

Therefore, Reku invites students to join the Reku online community which currently has tens of thousands of members.

That way, students can interact with other crypto investors regarding market conditions and the growth of the crypto ecosystem as a whole.

"Reku urges students to regularly monitor crypto market conditions, one of which is through the Reku Learning Hub which is updated every day," concluded Jesse.

Apart from providing crypto and blockchain educational activities for students, Reku also continues to support the role of associations in the crypto ecosystem.

In this case, ABI and the Indonesian Crypto Asset Traders Association (Aspakrindo), which have officially merged, are a new start to strengthen the synergy of the crypto and blockchain ecosystem in the country.

General Chairman of Aspakrindo and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) Reku Robby stated that the Aspakrindo-ABI merger would encourage more effective collaboration between stakeholders in responding to existing opportunities and challenges.

“The Aspakrindo-ABI merger was carried out operationally. "Currently, the two associations have carried out joint management to support synergy, supervision and sustainable development of the crypto asset industry," he explained.

Robby said that Apakrindo-ABI is committed to jointly improving education, transparency, and ensuring that the operations of the crypto and blockchain ecosystem run healthily.

As an exchange player, Robby added, the Aspakrindo-ABI merger is also good news because it can speed up the coordination process to take concrete steps in developing a sustainable crypto ecosystem.

"In the future, Reku is ready to provide full support for all collaborative efforts, including with associations and regulators to encourage the potential of the crypto ecosystem. These include increasing crypto adoption as well as a variety of products and services in the ecosystem, and tackling illegal platforms," he explained.

Robby said Reku will continue to collaborate with multi-stakeholders.

Because the opportunities in the crypto ecosystem are very large. Therefore, collaboration is needed to exploit existing potential. Apart from educational activities, it also works with regulators such as the Exchange to increase user trust and security.

"Currently the Crypto Exchange is focusing on the process of granting permits for Physical Crypto Asset Traders (PFAK). Reku also continues to cooperate with the Exchange, Clearing, and Custodian, to support the process of granting this permit running smoothly," explained Robby.

In line with Robby, Asih Karnengsih as Executive Director of Aspakrindo-ABI said that Aspakrindo-ABI has the same vision to unite and encourage collaboration between stakeholders.

Previously, ABI had 57 members consisting of business actors and the crypto, blockchain and Web3 communities.

In the future, the merger between Aspakrindo-ABI will continue with the development of programs aimed at increasing the usefulness of blockchain technology for business actors, both in terms of security, community participation and trust, scalability, and various other benefits.

Asih stated, this is the spearhead in developing the crypto ecosystem. One of the biggest challenges in this ecosystem is education.

"There are still many people who are hesitant and even afraid to enter the crypto ecosystem due to a lack of education. Therefore, collaboration with Reku to educate students will certainly be continued in other cities and targeting a wider community," said Asih.
