JAKARTA - The pros and cons of TikTok Shop have made the government intervene by issuing Minister of Trade Regulation No. 31 of 2023. According to this regulation, TikTok Shop, which has been operating and is known as Social Commerce, must stop and must complete the requirements as an E-Commerce if it wants to become a trading application like Other E-Commerce. General Chair of the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA) Bima Laga supports this government regulation to ensure healthy competition. “We at idEA have provided input to the government.
