Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi appreciated the performances and achievements that have been achieved by Indonesian transportation and logistics companies, one of which is PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS).

This appreciation was explained in an interactive discussion session entitled Hub Talks: "Indonesian Transportation Transformation" which is part of a series of Transportation Ministry's Hub Space events, at JCC Senayan, Friday, September 29.

Directly moderated by Minister of Transportation Budi Karya, this discussion session also presented PIS CEO Yoki Firnandi, PJ Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono, President Director of Pelindo Arif Suhartono, President Director of PT KCIC Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi, Rhenald Kasali, and single comedian Cak Lontong.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya said the industry players who sat in the discussion were transportation industry players who had scored a number of achievements and made Indonesia proud, even at the world level.

"For that I said to my director-general, don't make it difficult for them. If they succeed, we will get the name and are proud, this is the shipping business (PIS) that has been recognized and there are a lot of ships," said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya in the discussion.

PIS CEO Yoki Firnandi explained that PIS as part of the Pertamina Group is a virtual lifeblood in distributing energy in Indonesia, with hundreds of submarines managed to deliver energy in the form of fuel, LPG, and others so that they can be enjoyed by the community.

Over the past year, PIS noted that it had transported 157 billion liters of cargo in the form of fuel, crude oil, and even LPG. PIS ships also sailed not only in Indonesia but also have sailed on 26 international routes, almost all over the world we have explored, "said Yoki.

Currently, PIS has 97 ships owned and will continue to grow. PIS has also opened branch offices in Singapore and Dubai as evidence of commitment to global market expansion.

You could say PIS is one of the largest shipping players in Southeast Asia, and in the future it will continue to grow.

PIS also enlivened the 2023 Space Hub which was held by the Ministry of Transportation from September 29 to October 1, 2023. In addition to participating in the discussion session, PIS also opened a booth to introduce the company further to the public

The opening ceremony of the Hub Space which took place on Friday was also attended by President Joko Widodo who had the opportunity to visit the PIS booth and listen to a brief introduction related to the PIS business.
