JAKARTA - President Director of Ada Kami's online loan company (pinjol), Benardino Moningka Vega, admitted that he would take legal action if the alleged suicide victim with the initials K was not proven as a customer of his company.

"What will we do if the victim is not found, yes we will way our option. We have to rethink how the next step will be. Including the possibility of defamation," he said at a press conference, in Jakarta, Friday, September 22.

Bernardio admitted that so far the investigations carried out have not been able to confirm that the viral suicide victims are the company's customers.

Karena itu, Bernandino meminta akun media sosial yang mengklaim korban bunuh diri tersebut adalah nasabah Ada Kami untuk memberikan data diri korban untuk keperluan investigasi.

"So far, we have answered to the viral account to help if there is additional data on names, ID cards, user names, phone numbers, please share with us, we will investigate with OJK instructions, and also investigate whether he is a suicide victim and secondly that he is Ada Kami's customer," said Bernardino.

Until now, continued Bernardino, there has been no additional information regarding the personal data of K victims from South Sumatra who are suspected of being Ada Kami customers. However, based on company data, there are no Ada Kami customers with this information.

"Right now, it's not just that, we are also in our own files with the existing data, it's not enough, we just try the initials K, how many, that number, it's not in our files," he said.

On that basis, Ada Kami has also reported to the police to jointly conduct an investigation.

"We have also submitted a report to the police and security forces to say we support it if there are efforts to find allegations of casualties. Of course, if anyone recognizes it, please convey it to us," he explained.

Previously, it went viral on Twitter social media, that a pinjol customer with the initials K, committed suicide due to debt and received threats from debt collector (DC) Ada Kami.

The threats obtained were in the form of telephone terror, to fictitious online food orders through the application addressed to the victim's residence.

Following this viral news, many netizens claimed to be victims of terror and received similar threats as experienced by the Ada Kami customer.
