Bank BTN Markets MSME Products To China

JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) facilitates Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) assisted by the company to sell local products to the Chinese market. This step is part of Bank BTN's strategy to support the Government, including the Ministry of SOEs, bringing MSMEs into the global market.

Meanwhile, MSMEs sent by Bank BTN to China are the construction of BUMN BTN KC Yogyakarta. The BUMN house is a forum to support the development of MSMEs in Indonesia through various initiatives and synergies with other agencies or institutions. The MSMEs show off their superior products through the 2023 ASEAN EXPO China activities at the Nanning International Conference and Exhibition.

Bank BTN Corporate Secretary Ramon Armando said the products sold by BTN Bank MSMEs were household appliances made from hyacinth and pandan leaves. In addition, the MSMEs also sell bags with natural cloth coloring techniques.

"We appreciate the Ministry of SOEs that accommodate MSMEs to Go China. We hope that this effort can make Indonesian MSME products also attractive in the Chinese market, especially because of their uniqueness and creativity," Ramon explained in a written statement, Thursday, September 21.

In addition to coaching MSMEs, Bank BTN also distributes People's Business Credit (KUR) for these small entrepreneurs. Bank BTN support for entrepreneurs through KUR was observed from a surge in KUR distribution of 123.10 percent year-on-year (yoy) as of June 2023.

Meanwhile, SOE Minister Erick Thohir, through his special staff, Arya Sinulingga, said that the involvement of MSMEs in the global market needs to be increased so that export targets are achieved.

"This exhibition is also a forum for MSMEs to conduct business matching with entrepreneurs from various countries in ASEAN, of course this can help MSMEs expand their wings in the global market," added Arya.

China ASEAN EXPO 2023 is the exhibition of an agreement at the 7th ASEAN Chinese Summit in October 2003 within the framework of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) economic trade. This activity is Indonesia's commitment to establishing trade and investment cooperation with China and other ASEAN countries.

At the opening of this activity was also attended by the Vice President of Indonesia, Ma'ruf Amin, and several other state guests. It is hoped that this activity can bring success for MSMEs on the world stage and be able to become a driving force for the national economy.
