PLN DKI Jakarta Main Unit's Contribution to Make the ASEAN Summit Gala Dinner an Unforgettable Moment

JAKARTA - The gala dinner of the 43rd Summit of Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN), a few days ago, became one of the moments that attracted attention. This event further complements the success of the 43rd ASEAN Summit which was held on September 5-7 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan.

A stunning gala dinner held at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) City Forest, Senayan, Central Jakarta. This activity attracted the attention of the delegations from the countries present in Jakarta.

The sparkling colorful lights seemed to add to the warmth of the ASEAN Summit delegates while attending the Gala Dinner. The success of this event cannot be separated from the big role of PLN DKI Jakarta Main Unit which helped make the ASEAN Summit a success by supplying electricity without a flicker.

Since the beginning, PLN Disjaya has focused its attention on the entire series of ASEAN Summit activities. According to the General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Lasiran, the GBK Senayan City Forest is the main venue for the ASEAN Summit series.

For this reason, PLN UID Jakarta Raya, said Lasiran, uses electricity without flashing or 'zero down time' (ZDT) with 4 layers of electrical security in the City Forest for the smooth running of the 43rd ASEAN Summit gala dinner.

"Because it is one of the 4 other main venues, that's why we use 4 layers of security for this venue, with an electric power supply of 690 kVA," said Lasiran in a written statement from PLN's Greater Jakarta Main Distribution Unit, Sunday, September 10.

Lasiran emphasized that his party also backed up the Plataran Senayan City Forest with an 'Uninterruptible Power Supply' (UPS) of 300 kVA.

"We backup with a 300 kVA UPS, thereby increasing the reliability of the network at the gala dinner location," explained Lasiran, who expressed much praise for PLN Disjaya's support for the smooth running of all activities in the 43rd ASEAN Summit agenda.

Just as a reminder, the dinner or gala dinner for delegates to the 43rd ASEAN Summit was served magnificently and stunningly in the Gelora Bung Karno City Forest (GBK) area.

The activity, which was held on 4.5 hectares of artificial forest land, prioritizes a green concept colored by the sparkling lights of skyscrapers around the area.

Meanwhile, the open stage has dimensions of around 50 x 30 square meters which presents various artistic performances and musical entertainment from a number of artists from the capital.

Right behind the stage, dozens of skyscrapers with colorful lights rise in the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) area, right across from the GBK city forest.

These buildings became giant screens for video mapping performances during the gala dinner.
