JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) will conduct a rapid train trial in September 2023. A total of 500 to 550 seats will be provided in each series.

PT KCIC's GM Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa said, in one series there are 600 seats. Later, the free seats will be prioritized for residents affected by the construction of the train line.

"During the trial, we will quota 500 to 550 seats per train series and that includes affected residents along the high-speed train line, which is prioritized to experience fast trains," said Eva.

In one day, said Eva, there will be eight trips with four trips from Bandung and four trips from Jakarta.

Untuk persiapan sendiri, kata Eva, pihaknya telah dan sedang melakukan sejumlah persiapan untuk menghadapi fase uji coba mulai dari penyiapan sertifikasi sarat dan prasarana, kesiapan aksibilitas, sampai kesiapan stasison itu sendiri.

Untuk Stasiun Tegalluar, kata Eva, kini telah dibuka Jembatan Cibiru Selatan yang menghubungkan kawasan station dengan kawasan Gedebage yang akan mendukung akses penumpang bapat baik dengan kendaraan pribadi atau shuttle, bersama dengan exit tol KM 151A dan 151B yang akan segera dibangun PT Jasa Marga.

At Halim Station, Jakarta, said Eva, access to Jalan DI Panjaitan is being prepared for private vehicle users and shuttle access to high-speed trains, toll exit is being prepared at KM 18.5, which will support integration with Jadebek LRT Station.

For Padalarang Station, access from Kota Baru Parahyangan has been prepared to the Padalarang high-speed train station adjacent to the Padalarang Railway Station.

Meanwhile, for Karawang Station, Eva said that KCIC has also built access roads to the station area which is now 80 percent, and later there will be toll access to go directly to Karawang Station.

Operational trials with these passengers, added Eva, the main goal is to introduce and provide experience to all Indonesian people in using the high-speed train, instead of assessing the feasibility of this high-speed train.

"So it is more to introduce, because for feasibility it has been carried out before the trial operation with passengers, be it passenger trains or inspection trains from various sides, be it infrastructure from facilities, then so far there have been no special obstacles in the trial because actually what we are carrying is 100 percent purely what has been operated in the country of origin. KCIC plans to test the preoperation of the Jakarta-Bandung fast train starting in early September 2023 according to directions from the government, free of charge or free of charge.
