Deputy Minister Of SOEs Concerning The Issue Of Changing Pertamina's Directors: There Is Always A Possibility

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) has signaled the possibility of a change of management at the state-owned company PT Pertamina (Persero).

"Change of directors is always possible," said Deputy Minister of SOEs I Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 26.

Furthermore, Tiko, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo's nickname, said that his party routinely evaluates the performance of state-owned companies, including Pertamina.

However, Tiko emphasized that there has been no decision to reshuffle the board of directors. This statement also answers the issue of Pertamina President Commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok as the main director.

"If we routinely review the performance of the CEOs, this is an ordinary process, because we will have a portfolio change, later we will review what changes have been made in the last year. But there has been no decision yet," he explained.

Previously, the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir raised his voice regarding the news of the change of the president director (Managing Director) of Pertamina. Erick emphasized that he could not provide certainty.

"Not yet, this is all impatient," he told reporters, Wednesday, July 26.

Furthermore, Erick emphasized that the summons of Pertamina officials, including Ahok some time ago, was actually no different from the summons of other SOE officials.

According to Erick, the summons of high-ranking state-owned companies is part of accelerating a number of BUMN strategic programs.

"I don't cover up anything, please be patient with the media, because this is a process. If you say oh, come on. It's not on my desk the appointment of the President Commissioner or the President Director of the points, it's not on my desk yet," he explained.
