70th Anniversary, Bank Indonesia Commits To Strengthening Transformation For State Progress

JAKARTA Bank Indonesia (BI) is said to have just celebrated its 70th birthday (HUT) earlier this week by holding a Tasyakuran in Jakarta.

BI Governor Perry Warjiyo said his party interprets this central bank anniversary with three things. First, always be grateful for all the achievements of the institutions that have been achieved, thanks to the persistence of the effort that has been perfected with prayer.

Second, a birthday is a form of commitment or as a reminder that BI's existence must always give meaning to the nation and state.

"Third, continue to strengthen the transformation of policies and institutions and strengthen human resources, in order to support the progress of the country's economy," he said in a press release quoted by the editors on Tuesday, July 4.

According to Perry, the achievements of the monetary authority cannot be separated from the important roles and contributions of the predecessors.

"The 70th anniversary of Bank Indonesia has the theme Consistency, Innovation, and Synergy Strengthening BI's Transformation for State Progress," he said.

On the occasion of the celebration, President Joko Widodo and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma'ruf Amin were also present online to congratulate and give appreciation to BI.

It also appears that they came offline to previous central bank officials, such as Adrianus Mooy, Soedrajad Djiwandono, Syahril Sabirin, Burhanuddin Abdullah, Boediono, Darmin Nasution, and Agus Martowardojo. A number of predecessor members of the Board of Governors (ADG) were also present to congratulate them on the tasyakuran event.

Congratulations were also conveyed by a number of Governors of the Central Bank of several countries such as Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, India, China, Australia, and South Korea, including a number of Indonesian Ambassadors (Ambassadors) including from Japan, the United States, Britain, China, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia.
