JAKARTA - Viral on social media Tiktok, the driver who left the wrong toll road towards Cikampek. This is because motorists are charged a toll tariff fee of IDR 724,000 at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate.

Citing the TikTok account @Leo6688, he told that the vehicle he was traveling with was going to Bandung, entered from the Ancol Toll Gate (GT) towards Bandung at 02.00 WIB in the morning.

On the way, he realized that his friend who was driving the car took a straight path, not turning towards Purwakarta. Finally, they decided to leave at the nearest GT to fill up with gasoline, as well as to go to the toilet.

"So I'm out of the toll road. I've pulled it, I'm filling it up, we're entering the new toll gate again. That's how we were directed by Bandung, Jakarta Cikampek, we went into Bandung. We've already entered, we went to the Cikampek Toll Gate, you know, Rp. 724,000, my friend said, it's crazy to pay Rp. 724,000, "said the account owner, quoted on Tuesday, June 27.

Feeling confused about the toll tariff, he also called toll officials to ask for an explanation. Based on the officer's explanation, the electronic money card used by the car owner is not legible by the system.

The reason is that our card can't be read by the system, how come I can't read the system, I said that. Just now it was normal, how come it can't be read by the system. My friend said no need to debate, "he continued.

However, after receiving an explanation from the toll road officer, this driver was not charged a toll tariff of Rp. 724,000. He said he did not want to argue and was given a discount, so he only paid Rp. 300,000.

"Finally, my friend has just that much money, only Rp. 300,000, he said that. We are also sleepy, the important thing is that we get to Bandung, he said. Well, finally we continue our journey. Because I was surprised, because my trip to Bandung is once a month, sometimes every two weeks, we never get paid for the toll road up to Rp. 724,000, actually, "he explained.

Jasa Marga's Response

Responding to this, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) immediately conducted a search in the field after learning about the incident. The results of the search in the field, it was found that road users made entry transactions through GT Cikampek Utama 1 and left to GT Cikampek Utama 2.

VP Corporate Secretary and Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Ria Marlinda Paalo explained that road users were subject to fines in accordance with Government Regulation Number 15 of 2005 concerning Toll Roads.

Toll road users are required to pay a fine of twice the furthest-distance toll tariff on a toll road with a closed system if they cannot show proof of entry to the toll road when paying the toll road, including because the e-Toll is lost or because they do not use the same e-Toll when the transaction is in and out.

Second, showing evidence of a damaged entry sign when paying the toll road; third, unable to show correct entry sign or which is in accordance with the direction of the trip when paying the toll road, including by turning around the median of the toll road and/or before the payment transaction toll gate.

Ria said the calculation of a fine of IDR 724,000 based on the furthest tariff from GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to Kalikangkung GT Batang-Semarang Toll Road was IDR 352,000 x 2 = IDR 704,000. As well as an additional open toll tariff for the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road of IDR 20,000, so the fine imposed on road users is IDR 724,000.
